Daman and Diu union territory is situated on the west coast of India bordered by the Arabian Sea. The exotic location of this splendid place is blessed with sun, sand and sea. By Air:

Mumbai, the nearest domestic and international airport to Daman and Diu, is located at a distance of 193 Kms. All major airlines like Jet Airways, Air Deccan, Spice Jet, Kingfisher airlines operate regular number of flights to and from Mumbai. One can also board flights to Diu from Porbandar and Mumbai. Another way to reach Daman and Diu is to reach Bhavnagar or Porbandar by flight and then take the motorable road to your final destination.

By Train:

Vapi railway station is the nearest located railway station to Daman is only 12 Kms away while the Delwada railway station is closely located to Diu. Ahmedabad and Mumbai are the two railway station of the western railways which are placed very close to Daman.

By Road:

Daman and Diu are also well connected to the other parts of India by an excellent road network. The National Highway number 8 is used to connect Daman by the motorable road with Ahmedabad , Vadodara and Mumbai etc.

 

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS :

Tourist attractions in Daman & Diu are comprised of picturesque sun-bathed beaches, colonial forts and renowned churches. Besides this there is a rich heritage and culture of Daman & Diu which offers very lively festive days and bustling nightlife, another tourist attraction in Daman & Diu.

Devka Beach in Daman is lively destination to be in. It has an amusement park with attractive illumination on festivals. Another is massive Moti Daman Fort dating back to 16th century. It has the massive fort, the stately Light house, gardens, historic monuments and ancient Gothic style churches, are the key places of interest. There is very alluring artificial tourist complex DamanGanga, having all the recreational facilities, one of the major tourist attractions in Daman & Diu. Another mention among the tourist attractions in Daman and Diu is Fort of Diu, surrounded by sea on three sides, offers a marvelous view of sea.

The serene Jampore beach is an ideal place to unwind and listen to the whisper of the palm tress and laze around. Church of Bom Jesus was built by the Portuguese in 17th century and is famous for their impressive rosewood carvings. Nagoa Beach is a semicircular beach in Bucharwada village, an ideal place for various water sports. Another important touriost attraction of Daman & Diu is Gangeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, houses five lingas in the midst of the rocks on the seashore.

Other tourist attraction in Daman & Diu are Our Lady of Rosary Chapel (inside fort, Moti Daman fort) Our lady of Sea Church (inside Nani Daman fort), Hilsa Aquarium, Kachigam Water Tank, Hathi Park, Bridge Side Garden, Municipal Children Park. The other equally beautiful beaches are Ahmedpur, Mandvi, Chakratirath, Jallandhar, and Gomtimata all having their own charm and thrill.

 

BEST TIME TO VISIT  :

Though the place can be visited all through the year, the best time to visit Daman and Diu is from October to March.

It is the perfect season as the weather remains pleasant during this time and it makes you explore the place in the best way.

Day 1: Mumbai – Daman (Approx. 200 Kms/ 4-5 Hrs )

Pick Up From Mumbai And Drive To Daman, Upon arrival begin your tour of Daman .

Upon arrival check in to the Hotel . Rest of the day at leisure . Overnight At Hotel.

Day 2:Daman
